My name is Elliott Blount. I am a follower of Jesus, a husband, a father, author, guitarist, and the Millennial Minister at Swiss Cove Christian Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
This is my personal blog. I am passionate about helping others develop their relationship with Jesus. Being a follower of Christ is a journey, and it is one that we were never meant to do alone. My own story is full of times when I avoided God’s call on my life, only to find myself taking the long way to where He wanted me to be to all along.
I write about life, leadership, and spiritual growth. My goal is to help you live, love, and follow Jesus better than ever before. If you’re looking for a place of honest conversation, this blog is for you.
I typically post 3 times per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). To make sure you don’t miss out, you can subscribe via email using the form to the right!

I have been in ministry for 12 years. I began as a worship leader at Vero Christian Church. I also served in worship ministry at Southside Christian Church, Adventure Christian Church, and First Christian Church of Clearwater. A few years ago, God did a major work in me and I moved into Family Ministry at FCC Clearwater. I currently serve at Swiss Cove Christian Church as the millennial minister. I also teach private guitar at Clef Hangers Studios.
I have been married to my amazing wife Abigail (follow her on Twitter @abbz629) for 10 years. We have 2 amazing children, Micah and Eden, and we live in Saint Johns, Florida.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, playing guitar, basketball, and lifting weights.
